This table is sold. Every piece is one of a kind, but if the wood, size, or style caught your eye, let's talk. We can build something just as special.
This isn't just a dining table. This wood came from a walnut tree on Sauvie Island that measured 27 feet in circumference, stood over 100 feet tall, and is believed to have been planted before Europeans settled the island, traced as far back as 1840. When it showed signs of disease in 2019, Goby Walnut carefully harvested it, milled it, and began the long process of air and kiln drying. By 2023 the slabs were ready. Two sequential slabs opened like a book and what was revealed is a showstopper. A perfect mirror of swirling, explosive grain patterns radiating from the center seam in a way that feels almost too symmetrical to be natural. Rich, deep color with wild figure that shifts and dances as the light moves across the surface. There is nothing else like this table in the world. Read the full story of this remarkable tree.
