Custom Live Edge Dining Tables
Live edge dining tables showcase the natural contours of the tree, preserving the organic shape of the slab for a truly one-of-a-kind piece. I handcraft each table from salvaged Oregon hardwoods such as black walnut, white oak, madrone, and myrtle, choosing slabs with distinctive grain and character. Paired with custom steel legs or a handcrafted base, your live edge table will be built to order and finished to last for generations.
What Makes a Live Edge Dining Table Unique
Live edge tables preserve the natural edge of the tree, following its curves and lines instead of cutting them away. The result is a dining table with organic character that no machine can replicate. Each piece reflects the story of the tree it came from — growth, age, and the landscape it once stood in.
Live Edge Wood Options
I work with several hardwoods that take on stunning character when left with a live edge:
Oregon Black Walnut – deep chocolate tones with golden sapwood and bold figure.
White Oak – lighter, more contemporary look with a refined edge.
Madrone – rich red streaks and dramatic grain movement.
Myrtle – warm golden tones with swirling grain and flashes of gray and brown.
Built by Hand in Portland, Shipped Nationwide
Every table begins with salvaged slabs, milled and joined in my Portland workshop. I use traditional joinery, careful sanding, and premium hardwax oil finishes to highlight the wood’s character. The legs are fabricated from solid American steel and finished in matte black unless otherwise specified. While each table is built here in Oregon, I crate and ship nationwide so your table arrives safely, wherever you are.
Every live edge dining table I build is one-of-a-kind, crafted to reflect both the tree’s character and your home’s style. Let’s design a table that will serve your family for years to come.
