Walnut Dining Tables: Handcrafted from Salvaged Oregon Black Walnut

My specialty. More customers choose walnut than any other wood, and once you see it, you'll know why.

Walnut brings something to a room that other woods don't. That deep chocolate color paired with golden sapwood. Grain patterns that range from subtly elegant to stop-you-in-your-tracks dramatic. A richness that only deepens as the years go by.

I build each table by hand in my SE Portland workshop using salvaged Oregon black walnut. Every board comes from locally sourced trees with character you won't find anywhere else. Whether you're looking for a finished table ready to go or want something built specifically for your space, I'm here to help you find the perfect fit.

Why Walnut?

Rich, Evolving Color - That deep chocolate brown paired with creamy sapwood? It gets even better with age, darkening and deepening over the years.

Grain That Tells a Story - Some boards are straight and uniform. Others have dramatic swirls and figure that stop you in your tracks. No two are alike.

Built for Real Life - Walnut's a dense hardwood, which means it holds up to the chaos of everyday family use, not just special occasions.

Works Everywhere - I've built walnut tables for sleek modern lofts and cozy farmhouse kitchens. It just... fits.

Salvaged with Purpose - Every piece comes from local Oregon trees that would otherwise end up as firewood or waste. It's spectacular wood getting a second life.

What Makes Oregon Black Walnut Different?

Here's the thing about Pacific Northwest walnut: it's just more interesting. Growing conditions out here create richer color contrast, more dramatic grain patterns, and character you don't get from commercially grown Eastern walnut.

The trees I source are often 80-150+ years old—salvaged locally from urban removals, storm damage, or private land. Each one has a story, and you can see it in the wood.
