I build every walnut console table by hand in my Portland workshop using locally salvaged Oregon black walnut. These are trees that survived decades of Pacific Northwest storms and seasons, and that struggle is what gives the wood its incredible character: warm browns layered with purples, blues, reds, and grays, with flashes of golden sapwood you won't find in ordinary lumber. No two consoles are ever the same.
All of my walnut comes from Goby Walnut, one of the most respected names in salvaged hardwood in the country. I drive down to their Portland yard personally to hand-select every board. Learn more about my Goby partnership.
Each piece is finished with VOC-free Rubio Monocoat, a hand-rubbed oil that keeps the wood looking and feeling like wood, then paired with your choice of custom steel legs.
