Myrtle also has a natural shimmer, called chatoyancy, that gives it incredible depth. A myrtle bench instantly stands out as a centerpiece, whether in an entryway or at the foot of a bed. I choose boards that show off this kaleidoscope of color, and once finished with a VOC-free, food-safe oil, the wood glows with life.
